Mike and Lou Hutchins - A little about us!
We met 6 years ago and decided we could be together for a while! We got married on a Jeanneau 54 in 2006 on the Solent UK!
Mike Hutchins
Mike was born in London UK, was dinghy sailing at a young age & went on to do water instructor courses with the UKSA in England. He since then has spent time in France & Greece teaching windsurfing & cat sailing.
Mike got in to big boat sailing about 5 years ago and proceeded to do his yachtmaster and has since spent many months sailing around Greece, north Europe, England and a trans-Atlantic. Mike spent last summer doing charters on
the Solent in the UK & decided to come to the BVI to carry on with this career.
Louise Hutchins
Louise was born in Scotland in the UK & qualified at college as an engineer at 18, she then spent the next 8 years in the music industry as a sound engineer living in London & south UK. After meeting Mike she got into sailing about four years ago and too has been qualifying as a skipper, currently at "dayskipper" level & is doing her yachtmaster course at the moment. Louise has enjoyed doing a lot of cooking and entertainment at home with friends & family. Louise too spent last summer doing charters on the Solent & has done two trans-Atlantics and has sailed in Greece, northern Europe, England.
Mike and Louise are newly weds and love sailing together hence the reason they have come to the BVI to fulfill a dream of a sailing career together.
